The kingdom of God is not in word but in power (1 Corinthians 4:20). As Christians and Ministers of God, the gospel to which we have been called to preach is the gospel of power. Apostle Paul told the brethren in Thessalonica that the gospel which he and his co-laborers brought unto them came not in word only but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance (1 Thessalonians 1:5). The Holy Spirit has always been the power fueling divine manifestations and ensuring the growth of the Church. Jesus Christ told the disciples to wait for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit before they venture into worldwide evangelization (Acts 1:4-8). Consequently, the disciples did great exploits through the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37-41; 5:12-16). The same power is available for us today to do mighty things as we serve in God’s vineyard. The Decade of Soaring vision which the sovereign God has given to us as an organization will be fulfilled as we receive the help of the Holy Spirit.
